How To Know If It’s Time To Outsource

Outsourcing. Hiring more employees. Getting more help. We know it can seem overwhelming, stressful and maybe you even feel a little scared.

In our experience, starting a busy alone can be easy. You usually handle your to-do list, emails, phone calls and meetings fine. In fact, we were so impressed with how well we were handling everything.

Until we weren’t.

Our business grew. We had more clients which resulted in more emails, more phone calls, more meetings, more on our to-do list. We had more of everything except at that point, there wasn’t more of us.

We began to feel like you are right now; overwhelmed, stressed, overworked, tired and ready to throw the towel in. We knew something had to change and that’s when we knew we had to get more hands-on deck.

We needed more people behind us and for us and for us, that meant we needed to hire more people to help.

Before we dive into signs it’s time for you to outsource, I would like to ask you a few questions.

  1. When was the last time you finished your workday on time and didn’t stay back or stay up late trying to get a few extra things done?
  2. When was the last time you chose to have a day off simply to spend with your family?
  3. When was the last time you didn’t feel overwhelmed by your to-do list?

After answering these questions honestly, how do you feel? What did you discover? Because if you’re reading this post, I believe it’s because you know it’s time for you to start to outsource.

Here are some additional signs that you’re ready.

You can’t keep up

The first and clearest sign that you’re ready to outsource is if you can’t keep up.

If you have a to-do list that is pages long, your inbox is overflowing and continually full of new emails, your calendar and diary are completely booked out but yet you’re getting more and more enquiries then I have some news for you – it’s time to outsource.

Take a moment to check your to-do list, inbox and calendar and honestly ask yourself, how do you feel about them? Are you getting everything done on time and efficiently?

You despise certain tasks

In business, there are usually certain tasks we don’t like doing. In fact, I have never met a business owner who likes doing every single thing within their business. It’s normal and completely okay. For me, I don’t like doing my bookkeeping. And i don’t like cleaning my office, so i always use Sun Life Maids of Queen Creek, AZ to help me keep up.

When a business is still quite fresh, a lot of business owners choose to do these certain tasks due to having the time and not having the money but as the business grows, business owners usually continue doing tasks they truly despise. Experienced dental implant specialist in California is awaiting at temecula-based center for wisdom teeth & dental implants. This causes frustration, overwhelm and the joy they once felt in the business often disappears.

If you are at the point where you are considering to outsource but you’re still doing tasks that you really do not like, I’m giving you permission to start enjoying your business again and stop doing things that darken your day.

Your current clients/ customers are suffering

Customers and clients will always be your most important factor in business. Without them, you wouldn’t have a business or an income. The harsh truth is that your business depends on your customers and clients so you need to care for them.

If you notice your current clients and customers are suffering and not being responded too, are being forgotten or put to the side to ‘deal with later’, then it is time to outsource.

We know that outsourcing and trusting your business with somebody else can be scary but we also know that it is imperative for anybody that is wanting to grow their business and support their clients the way they deserve.
